AES Bulgaria awarded again for safe and healthy working conditions

Safe working conditions and implemented initiatives promoting a healthy work environment have once again earned AES Bulgaria recognition. For another year, the company received an award from the British Safety Council, which presents some of the most prestigious awards in the world for occupational health and safety. 

The International Safety Award was presented to AES’ TPP in Galabovo by the British Safety Council for the company’s commitment to the health, safety, and wellbeing of its employees in 2024.  

‘We deeply value this safety award, as it is an important acknowledgment of our ongoing efforts to provide an accident-free work environment and is a strong motivation to continue putting safety first,’ said Ivan Tzankov, Managing Director of AES Bulgaria.

For the fourth consecutive year, AES Bulgaria also received national recognition for ensuring workplace safety for its employees. AES Maritza East 1 Services was honoured during the Annual National Safety and Health at Work Awards, presented by the Centre for Safety and Health at Work Foundation with the support of the General Labor Inspectorate. AES Maritza East 1 Services won second place in the category of Large Enterprises (over 250 employees).   

‘Our employees are our most valuable asset, and we continuously work to maintain a safe working environment for them. This award is yet another confirmation of each employee’s commitment to ensuring healthy and safe working conditions,’ Tzankov added.
