In March, TPP AES Galabovo reached a peak in power generation for the last 15 months

AES Bulgaria’s power plants produced more than 976 000 MWh of energy for the first quarter of 2021
The most modern coal-fired power plant in Bulgaria – TPP AES Galabovo, generated 860 000 MWh of reliable energy for the Bulgarian consumers in the first quarter of the year. Only in March, the power plant produced 322 000 MWh, which is a record in the energy output of the coal capacity for the last 15 months. This is 9% of the total energy consumed in Bulgaria in March, which once again shows the key role of TPP AES Galabovo for the Bulgarian consumers and the country’s energy system.
The total generating capacities of AES Bulgaria – TPP AES Galabovo and St. Nikola Wind Farm, produced over 976 000 MWh of electricity for the Bulgarian consumers in the first quarter of 2021.
For the period January – March, 2021, the 52 turbines of the biggest wind farm in the country – St. Nikola Wind Farm, provided the Bulgarian consumers with 117 000 MWh of clean energy. Only in March, the wind farm generated 39 706 MWh.
